The LAB-Laborim & Bandeira was founded on September 6, 1825, with last letter by the King of Portugal D. João, this company was headquartered in Bairro Alto in Lisbon and was devoted to works of tin, was acquired by Joaquim Silva in the decade 90 , who founded the Latoaria Ponte Rol in 1982, after a long journey of learning and experience in the art of making lanterns. Since then it has gained its place in the market through an evolution of this pace, always with the aim of accompany and serve.
The stream of knowledge between generations has been the secret of continuity and progress of this family business. Today they are the sons of the founder, Joaquim Pedro and Diogo Silva, who run the company, having as inheritance a thorough knowledge of the industry, and always with an eye to the future.
Quality and development
One of our major concerns is the development of industry and the disclosure quality of Portuguese products. As a member of AIPI (Portuguese Association of Industrial Lighting) since the date of its establishment in 1997, we have been taking bigger steps to achieve this goal due to a partnership which resulted in a number of support for internationalization.
In 1999,Latoaria Ponte Rol began participating in various fairs international dimension, having today been present at prestigious competitions such as the Export Home (Porto), FIAM (Valencia), Tektónica (Lisbon), Intercasa (Lisbon) and Euroluce (Milan), Light & Building Fair in Frankfurt, Maison&Ojet(Paris), MayDesignSeries(London).
With this bet, the Latoaria Ponte Rol caught numerous business relationships with customers coming from all over the world, exporting to countries like Spain, France, Holland, England, Ireland, Scotland, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Russia, Latvia, USA and Kuwait.
